Post Street Closure and Detour Starting July 27, 2017
HerreroBOLDT, general contractor for the Sutter Health CPMC Van Ness Campus Hospital, announced the project's construction activity is progressing on schedule and is preparing to take down the final tower crane. To facilitate the removal of the tower crane, Post Street between Van Ness Avenue and Franklin Street will be closed beginning on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at 12:01 a.m. and will reopen on Monday, July 31, 2017 at 6:00 a.m. In order to ensure the public safety, there will be no pedestrian or vehicle access through the closure area. The Post Street detour will have no impact on Van Ness Avenue.
The removal of the final tower crane marks the achievement of another major milestone in construction work. Completion of the hospital should be done by mid-2018, and the medical office building is anticipated to be finished by early 2019. The campus will be operational for patient care in Spring 2019.
“We want to thank all of our neighbors for their patience and the city for its assistance during the exterior construction work for the Sutter Health CPMC Van Ness Campus Hospital,” said Miquel Penn, Director of Workforce Development and Public Relations for HerreroBOLDT.
Road closure notices have been distributed to nearby neighbors and HerreroBOLDT is collaborating with SFMTA on detours and traffic management.
