Family waiting rooms on each floor of both hospitals offer families the comforts of home — Internet-connected computers, microwaves, coffee machines, and refrigerators. Family rooms are located at the corners of the buildings, allowing them to be washed in natural light.
Visit the light-filled lobby of the new Mission Bernal campus. The modern design features plenty of natural light and views to an outdoor courtyard.
Patients needing emergency services at our Van Ness Campus will be access the Emergency Department through a breezeway located inside the building. The new Emergency Department will feature six designated beds for pediatric patients, staffed by pediatric emergency nurses. It also provides easy access to services to improve response time and staff efficiency.
Soothing murals of nature scenes are designed to calm patients as they prepare to get a CT scan in our state of the art imaging area.
Patients and visitors to our Van Ness Campus will see a grand staircase in the main lobby.
Roof gardens will cover 25,000 square feet of the Van Ness Campus — nearly half a football field. Captured rainwater will irrigate the gardens, saving water.
The new post-partum rooms are specially designed for mothers and babies, with plenty of room for friends and family to welcome the newest arrival.
Patients arriving at our new hospitals to have their baby will be able to bypass the emergency department go straight to the birthing floor.
All our patient rooms will be private and will feature several amenities to make a patient’s stay more comfortable.
The new cafeteria at our Van Ness location will offer visitors a comfortable area to eat meals or enjoy a snack.
For our most critically ill patients, the intensive care unit rooms are specially configured for necessary medical equipment.
The main entrance to the new Van Ness Campus will be accessible from a drive-through breezeway between Geary and Post Streets.
Our family-friendly pediatric rooms have several features to increase comfort for our younger patients.
Operating rooms are designed to accommodate the latest in new medical technologies.
Waiting rooms will feature soothing colors to make patients more comfortable while they wait.
